The Opportunity

The incumbent of this position will work from Montreal, for the Global Commerce division. In the current complex geopolitical context, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations is more crucial than ever. As a Global Trade Compliance Systems Analyst, you will be at the heart of our trade compliance program and our continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves database management, data analysis, and the implementation of solutions to reduce costs and strengthen compliance. Our team manages approximately 45,000 shipments per year, representing a value of approximately CAD 1 billion in imports.

What You Will Do

  • Propose concrete solutions to improve compliance processes in an ever-changing regulatory context.
  • Ensure data integration into cost control and trade compliance systems.
  • Conduct critical analyses and produce key performance indicators for compliance and cost control.
  • Lead innovative initiatives to improve margins and compliance.

Required Skills

  • Undergraduate university degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant analyst role, including database management.
  • Strong interest in computer skills, including SQL and other programming languages, with a passion for developing innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, Visual Basic, and SQL.
  • The incumbent must be able to communicate well in English (50% of the time), as their duties require interaction with stakeholders and colleagues located outside Quebec or Canada.
