Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1–2 years of related experience
1 year free of OSHA recordables, DOT accidents, quality issues, roadside inspection violations, DOT major logbook violations, and significant property damage
Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record
Class A or Class B commercial driver's license (CDL)
Prefer HazMat endorsement
Ability to operate material handling equipment
Experience with on-board computers
Ability to perform heavy work, including frequent lifting and carrying of objects 25–75 pounds repetitively, and carrying product up multiple flights of stairs

Responsibilities

Drive commercial vehicle to deliver and pick up products from home patients and clinics according to established safety procedures and guidelines
Ensure accuracy of all paperwork related to the job, including obtaining customer signatures for pickup and delivery of dialysis product
Ensure good customer relations by delivering orders on time, behaving with integrity in a courteous and professional manner, noting and possibly resolving customer complaints, and reporting complex issues to DC staff or Customer Service
Observe and report any pertinent anomalies at customer sites
Set up product and/or place product on shelves or racks at customer sites
Perform rotation and inventory checks of existing product to ensure adequate inventory for customers
Adhere to all federal and state specific DOT regulations, including GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) and hours of service
Identify and recommend options for route improvements to management as appropriate
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, identify problems, address appropriately, and perform routine maintenance as needed
Unload and load freight as required according to specified procedures and regulations
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual training for Good Manufacturing Practices, Health & Safety, and Compliance, and remain updated with annually revised regulatory standards
Operate material-handling equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures
Perform all duties with the goal to achieve OSHA-related targets for recordable incidents and lost time incidents
Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution as deemed necessary
Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
