Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or a related field, and ideally have experience in economic research or policy analysis. Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret complex data and produce clear, concise reports.
The Economic Research and Policy Analyst will conduct industry and economic research to provide insights into key policy issues, analyze the economic impact of NYC projects, and track economic trends for the Mayor and policymakers. They will also support NYCEDC in evaluating projects by setting up tools to assess, measure, and report on ideation and results, and advance high-impact thought leadership on inclusive and innovation-driven economic development.
