Experience with Markdown and Git is required, along with comfort in reading, understanding, and writing code samples in Solidity and JavaScript/TypeScript. Industry knowledge of Blockchains, DeFi, trends, and use cases is essential, as is experience contributing to open-source projects or blockchain communities. The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product teams, and developer advocates, demonstrating strong attention to detail and the capacity to simplify complex topics for a broad developer audience. Candidates should be able to operate independently, take on additional responsibilities, and proactively learn new skills. Flexibility and the ability to produce quality content quickly are also necessary, alongside strong problem-solving, critical thinking, user empathy, and a developer experience focus. A strong interest in Blockchain technology is a must. Preferred requirements include an understanding of Chainlink and its product offerings, knowledge of additional programming languages such as Go, Rust, Move, Python, or Cairo, and demonstrated ability to enhance user experience by developing Astro documentation components.
The Documentation Engineer will be instrumental in shaping Chainlink's developer-focused narrative through clear, compelling, and technically accurate content. Responsibilities include creating, refining, and enhancing a wide range of materials such as technical documentation, code tutorials, and developer-focused tooling. The role involves writing, editing, and maintaining developer documentation, tutorials, API references, and guides for Chainlink products. Collaboration with engineering, product, and developer relations teams to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content is key. The engineer will continuously improve the developer onboarding experience through clear, well-structured documentation and work with open-source contributors to review and enhance community-submitted documentation. Organizing and structuring documentation for better discoverability and usability, staying up-to-date with blockchain and Chainlink ecosystem advancements, and participating in content strategy discussions to ensure technical accuracy and consistency are also core duties. The role requires contributing to one of the fastest-growing projects in the blockchain ecosystem and shaping how the industry understands the future of decentralized finance.
