Requirements

  • Deep knowledge and experience in building complex, large-scale, mission-critical machine learning applications with microservice architecture in Kubernetes
  • Proven programming skills for end-to-end application and platform development such as Python, Java, ReactJS, LangChain, and related frameworks and libraries
  • Expertise in building reliable and highly scalable products from scratch (applying operational excellence)
  • Highly resourceful and methodical in solution/architecture/API/codebase design and ability to translate product requirements into engineering blueprint
  • Experience with common ML model serving frameworks, especially for NLP & LLM models/applications. Familiarity with GenAI/LLMs and related tooling ecosystem a plus
  • Experience developing and maintaining engineering processes and best practices for AI app development, including code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, and model monitoring
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to synthesize requirements across multiple domains and influence stakeholders/peer teams for strategic alignment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to approach problems in a logical and systematic manner

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex machine learning solutions that drive business results
  • Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and support to achieve their full potential and improve team efficiency
  • Develop and maintain engineering processes and best practices - setting and enforcing high standards for quality, reliability, and security in deployed machine learning solutions
  • Work cross-functionally with business, product, data science, front-end engineering, and data engineering teams to ensure alignment and achieve business goals
  • Effectively communicate technical work to senior/executive leaders in both technical and non-technical settings
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML technologies and trends - acting as a thought leader for ML Engineering within the organization and in the broader technical community
