Requirements

  • Proficiency in writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience working with colleagues across departments at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to be hardworking, proactive, eager to learn, and willing to take initiative
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and positive relationship-building abilities
  • Capability to take direction from multiple partners, balance projects, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment
  • Experience in handling confidential information
  • Previous media/PR internship experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google programs
  • Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available from January 2026 through June 2026
  • Fully available Monday through Friday, primarily, and occasionally nights and weekends, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing in the Burbank, California area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the Burbank, California area
  • Portfolio review required (include link on résumé; applications without it may not be considered)

Responsibilities

  • Rotate among various Communications teams within Disney Entertainment Television, supporting leaders and assisting with project work
  • Compile daily press clips and raves
  • Build and maintain schedules and press lists
  • Assist in writing press materials such as press releases, loglines, press blasts, and bios
  • Take meeting notes and disseminate them to teams
  • Aid in press pitching
  • Support the team at publicity events
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and publicity strategy meetings
  • Collaborate on social media efforts
