  • Basic medical understanding along with claims experience to intelligently discuss Disability Claims
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
  • Benefits Programs: Knowledge of employee benefits programs, processes, issues and considerations; ability to implement benefits programs
  • Ability to work onsite in Peoria, IL Monday – Friday during normal business hours
  • Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Administers Total Rewards programs, including Disability Benefit, communicating with internal customers and partnering with external vendors
  • Analyzes disability claim applications to determine benefits due to employees pursuant to Caterpillar Disability Plan(s) and utilizing case management guidelines
  • Participates in Total Rewards related projects, interacting with consultants and internal partners
  • Ensures compliance with the administration of Disability Benefit and manages employee data in line with company policies
  • Provides Total Rewards support to internal customers in support of the disability benefit
  • Supports collection and submission of data for market surveys
  • Supports the development of Total Rewards communications
