Responsibilities

  • Management of all 3rd party and intercompany financing arrangements used to fund Arrow Electronics and its global subsidiaries
  • Leadership for all Foreign Exchange risk management and Interest Rate risk management
  • Lead the negotiation, structuring, and placement of 3rd party credit facilities, including public debt market offerings (SEC registered, long-term bonds, short-term Commercial Paper), private/bank market financing (term loans, revolving credit facilities, lines of credit, money-market loans, overdrafts, bank guaranties, derivative trading limits), asset securitization facilities, and other working capital financing impacting interest expense (e.g., factoring accounts receivable, extended terms for accounts payable)
  • Lead planning of future financing transactions, including forecast of future debt balances aligned with Arrow FP&A 1yr-3yr financial forecasts
  • Lead preparation of interest expense forecasts and communicate forecasts with variance analysis to FP&A
  • In partnership with Treasury Operations and Arrow Tax, support planning and execution of intercompany capital structure transactions, including equity contributions/distributions (dividends), structuring/documentation of intercompany loans with appropriate transfer pricing interest rates
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity for every Arrow subsidiary through intercompany and 3rd party credit lines
  • Optimize mix of 3rd party financing sources in terms of structural flexibility (legal aspects, covenants), long-term liquidity (weighted average duration), short-term liquidity (intra-day borrowing cut-off times), and weighted average cost of debt (fixed vs. floating rates, currency denomination)
  • Coordinate planning and execution of Arrow share repurchase program
  • In collaboration with Treasury Operations and regional A/R and A/P managers, lead evaluation of working capital optimization platforms to renegotiate selling terms with customers and suppliers for discounts/premiums
  • Manage Arrow's global FX risk from non-functional-currency denominated monetary assets and liabilities on subsidiary balance sheets
  • Assure data quality and expanded utilization for the FIREapps application capturing balance sheet FX exposures
  • Ensure 100% recording of all FX trades in the Chatham contract management system, including generation of mark-to-market valuations of outstanding derivatives
