Requirements

Leadership experience in engineering and reliability activities across multi-site manufacturing operations (e.g., factories in China, India, Thailand, Indonesia)
Expertise in developing and implementing regional strategies, best practices for equipment performance, process reliability, and cost efficiency
Knowledge of global best practices under Reliability Excellence (RE) and Early Equipment Management (EEM) pillars of Plant Optimization
Ability to lead full equipment lifecycle management (design, development, supplier integration, manufacturing, commissioning, operational readiness)
Experience establishing cultures of compliance, ethics, continuous improvement, automation, and predictive maintenance
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Safety, Finance, Global Engineering, and Tire Technology teams
Capability to act as APAC pillar leader for Reliability Excellence and support Daily Equipment Care (DEC) pillar
Technical expertise in evaluating CapEx projects, capital planning, energy/sustainability initiatives, MRO inventory, and cost optimization

Responsibilities

Direct the APAC Engineering & Reliability team to maximize equipment/process efficiency, improve machine uptime, and eliminate losses via reliability programs and preventative maintenance
Develop and deploy reliability standards in partnership with Global Engineering, ensuring supplier compliance with maintainability/reliability requirements
Audit and enforce compliance with global equipment/process standards for common capability and reliability maturity across plants
Oversee utility performance management, reducing energy losses and driving efficiency improvements
Lead regional energy and sustainability initiatives, including benchmarking against best-in-class and collaborating with Global Sustainability team
Identify/implement technologies to reduce utility consumption, advance automation, and support decarbonization targets
Manage engineering budgets, MRO inventory, and cost optimization while balancing reliability performance
Lead development of APAC capital plan, validating investments against capacity, capability, and business needs
Partner with PMO, procurement, and finance to prioritize/execute capital projects
Provide technical expertise/direction for CapEx projects, ensuring alignment with reliability/compliance standards
Oversee regional/plant-level projects for on-time, on-budget delivery and sustainability
Provide strategic input into plant expansions, retooling, and process enhancements
Work cross-functionally with global/regional engineering to implement upgrades increasing efficiency and reducing waste
Standardize processes across the region
