Requirements

The Director of Product Design (AI Experience) must have deep expertise in designing for complex, data-driven systems and a passion for making AI intuitive, trustworthy, and accessible. They should possess experience in shaping user interactions with AI across product portfolios, including customer service, IT, sales, and marketing, and ensuring seamless integration of machine learning, automation, and generative AI into workflows. Experience in owning UX strategy for both AI infrastructure and product-specific AI use cases is essential, along with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and other UX leaders.

Responsibilities

The Director will lead the design for intelligent, human-centered AI experiences powered by the Freshworks AI platform. This includes defining and executing a cohesive UX strategy for AI across the platform and products, partnering with Product and Engineering to embed user-centered design into foundational AI capabilities, and driving design quality and consistency across AI use cases in multiple products. They will also be responsible for ensuring AI user experiences reflect responsible design principles, shaping end-to-end user experiences for platform-level AI tools, and advancing human-centered AI across products by leading the design of product-level AI features. Additionally, the Director will collaborate across the business to align AI UX design with strategy and user needs, acting as a thought partner in roadmap planning, and will lead a team of designers and researchers focused on AI experiences.
