Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. At least 10 years of progressive experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, and risk management. Deep knowledge of SOX 404, COSO, PCAOB, COBIT, and IT control frameworks. Experience working in environments requiring readiness for heightened compliance and regulatory requirements. Prior Big Four or large public accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence executives and present to Audit Committees. Professional certifications preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA). An advanced degree such as MBA or MIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee SOX compliance, including planning, scoping, risk assessments, testing, remediation, and reporting. Evaluate IT General Controls (ITGCs), automated application controls (ITACs), and business process controls. Partner with control owners to enhance awareness, training, and sustainable compliance. Collaborate with external auditors on walkthroughs, testing, and reporting. Contribute to enterprise risk management by identifying, assessing, and reporting key risks. Stay current on evolving regulations, cybersecurity, and SOX best practices.
