Requirements
- College graduate preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- At least 8 years of previous facilities management and supervisory experience, preferably within the student housing or a similar multi-family sector
- Demonstrated knowledge working with both vertical and horizontal buildings and high-rise boiler and chiller systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% in a year
- Flexible, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with quickly re-prioritizing
- Values and fosters a respectful, collaborative, and supportive approach to a diverse working and living environment

Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and development opportunities to the Facilities team
- Creates and maintains appropriate training and development to establish career paths in collaboration with other applicable departments
- Develops and maintains the ongoing administration of a preventative and predictive maintenance program
- Assures adherence to OSHA standards, federal, state and local laws and applicable company policies and procedures
- Develops, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of maintenance programs. Accountable for maximizing revenue, controlling expenses, and improving resident satisfaction
- Provides technical expertise and develops training programs for facilities and maintenance personnel in areas such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, plumbing, general construction, elevators, pools, fire & life/safety equipment, building automation systems and other pertinent building systems
- Establishes safety processes in compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable laws
- Assists property management and on-site personnel with the implementation of various operational programs including but not limited to training, demand side energy conservation, preventative maintenance, workflow direction, and vendor management
- Provides technical expertise and develops scopes of work for assigned capital projects
- Facilitates and conducts annual inspections and assessments to identify conditions, needs and budget expectations
