Responsibilities

  • Lead the data practice (data engineering, data science, machine learning, data analytics) in a billable role with "lead by example" leadership
  • Mentor, support, and manage engineers reporting directly to you
  • Work with Client Partners and team to create/refine technical vision for data engagements
  • Participate in technical discovery
  • Advocate for Livefront's engineering philosophy and approach
  • Choose right technologies to solve problems and see projects through to completion
  • Collaborate with leadership to advance across three pillars (Excellence in Delivery & Communication, etc.)
  • Shape direction of emerging data practice
  • Work with data team to refine architectures, platforms, engineering standards, and facilitate adoption
  • Architect and oversee scalable, secure, performant data systems across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Define standards for data engineering, code reviews, testing, security, performance monitoring, data governance; ensure conformance
  • Plan, estimate, and execute data engineering initiatives for organization and client projects
  • Ensure security, privacy, and compliance of data systems, pipelines, products
  • Work directly in the codebase frequently
  • Create architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, technical illustrations for communication
  • Stay current with AI trends, technologies, models, frameworks, eval methods, responsible AI; learn advancements and apply pragmatically
