Experience working closely with Global Finance Organization, Sponsor’s reporting functions, and financial statement/statutory auditors
Capability to work cross-functionally to account for complex business transactions
Experience managing a large team across multiple time zones and foreign locations
Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Responsibilities

Identify areas of changed or emerging GAAP and work with cross-functional teams to implement new accounting standards
Direct the preparation of accounting white papers to document important accounting positions and ensure compliance with US GAAP
Identify and address issues impacting the accounting close and consolidation process to ensure compliant internal controls over financial reporting
Review trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and other reports for completeness, accuracy, and GAAP application
Direct the process of determining accounting for acquisitions and dispositions, including onboarding, harmonizing practices, and ensuring internal controls
Drive consistency in worldwide accounting policy adoption and processes for accurate, timely US GAAP-compliant reporting; create and maintain compliance processes, including new GAAP implementations
Proactively improve internal controls over financial reporting and ensure accurate global account reconciliation
Set direction and policy on GL Account, Profit Center, Cost Center, Internal Order, and other SAP master data; provide requirements to Financial Systems Team for reports and consolidation accuracy
Support the audit process by directing staff on key issues and coordinating with internal and external auditors
Partner with Sponsor Finance to provide accurate financial information, respond to Parent Company questions, and ensure timely tax reporting
If required, execute a plan to prepare supporting schedules for SEC filings to go public
Comply with health and safety guidelines and ensure team compliance
Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation
