Requirements

  • Expertise in payments, money transmission, banking regulations, and how digital assets interact with traditional payment systems
  • Ability to translate complex, evolving regulations (e.g., GENIUS Act, Bank Secrecy Act) into practical systems
  • Experience architecting and owning compliance frameworks for crypto products, with a builder mindset
  • Willingness to work in person in San Francisco (3-4 days/week)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end AML/BSA compliance program for stablecoin and crypto payment products per GENIUS Act and Bank Secrecy Act
  • Establish customer identification programs (CIP), customer due diligence (CDD), and enhanced due diligence (EDD) frameworks for digital asset transactions
  • Build and maintain comprehensive sanctions compliance program for digital assets, including blockchain analytics, wallet screening, and sanctions risk management for crypto payment flows
  • Expand suspicious activity monitoring and sanctions screening tools/processes to include digital asset-specific workflows
  • Build consumer protection compliance programs for marketing, disclosure, UDAAP, and other consumer-facing requirements specific to digital assets
  • Serve as primary compliance partner to product, engineering, and risk teams
  • Translate regulatory requirements into concrete technical specifications for stablecoin infrastructure, payment rails, and crypto-enabled banking products
  • Report directly to the Bank’s Chief Compliance Officer
