Requirements
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade (or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade)
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
- License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
- Valid Driver’s License
- 1-3 years of experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Mechatronics and automation experience
- Experience with circuit boards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform major and minor repairs on equipment or systems utilizing a wide range of craft skills (for example, electronics, networking, electrical, mechatronics, and robotics)
- Inspect, operate, or test equipment or systems to diagnose problems
- Dismantle equipment, machines, or systems to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Diagnose problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment
- Provide prompt response to emergency calls
- Document repair activities
- Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines to perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety and proper functionality of equipment or systems
- Inspect, clean, and repair equipment or systems
- Observe and document signs of wear and tear
- Recommend repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs
- Determine replacement needs and document preventive maintenance activities
- Manage work orders and maintenance schedules by completing and submitting required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs)
- Order and track parts and replacement equipment and record purchases and usage
- Submit warranty claims and adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines
- Ensure quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations
- Ensure contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements
