Requirements

Minimum 6 months to 1 year of previous experience in entry level Mechanical Maintenance
Minimum 1 year basic mechanical or maintenance work experience
6 months work history with 1 employer within the last 2 years
Minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder
Current valid State driver’s license and clean driving record
Must supply own tools
Ability to use basic electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet
Ability to bend, stretch, reach, and work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
Ability to read and understand assignments
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Responsibilities

Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned
Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
Perform PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing
Repair or replace semi tires
Perform brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers
May perform air brake, electrical, and air conditioning work
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
