Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experienced leadership in a multi-faceted clinical environment
Technical proficiency in dialysis department operations and knowledge of industry practices and business principles
Ability to analyze diverse situations or data, evaluating multiple factors including current business trends
Adherence to FMCNA Compliance Program, all regulatory, federal, state, and local laws, and FMS policies
Experience with Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) tools and ESRD regulatory requirements
Knowledge of Home Therapies Program (if applicable)
Skills in data collection, auditing, and maintaining medical/administrative records
Ability to manage facility environmental integrity and safety

Responsibilities

Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing
Provide leadership, coaching, development plans, hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations for direct reports; partner with Human Resources
Support and drive FMS quality standards, meet ESRD regulatory requirements, and practice QAI using FMS tools
Address and act on adverse events and action thresholds
Oversee facility’s Home Therapies Program (if applicable)
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, clinical quality policies, and procedures; communicate and implement them
Maintain integrity of medical records, administrative/operational records, and facility environmental integrity/safety
Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge
Educate patients on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, access care, catheter reduction, and treatment adherence
Act as a resource for patients to address concerns and questions
Participate and present at meetings with internal/external representatives; lead project teams
Interact with subordinate supervisors, customers, functional peers, internal departments, and external customers for problem resolution
Provide technical guidance and act as an advisor to subordinates
Perform other related duties as assigned
