Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in informatics or engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience in software development principles and techniques
  • 2 years of relevant DevOps experience in a professional setting with a mixed IT experience background
  • Working proficiency in both Czech and English
  • Advanced Python enthusiast or commitment to becoming one (Python is the first-choice language for automation tools and scripts)
  • Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems (physical, virtual, or containerized), preferably automated where reasonable
  • Ability to automate activities using existing tools or scripts in Python, shell scripting, Groovy, or other languages
  • Experience with and maintenance of systems such as GitLab or GitHub, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools for development teams (setting up projects, repositories, and access)

Responsibilities

  • Work with teams to use and implement DevOps tools and practices
  • Design and develop new tools, scripts, or applications for continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), continuous testing (CT), and other processes automation
  • Use modern continuous integration and development tools, and promote continuous improvement of engineering tools and practices, including quality processes
  • Provide guidance and technical support to developers and testers in setting up and using shared DevOps infrastructure, customizing solutions to meet project-specific needs
  • Support development teams by taking on common tasks required across all teams and projects (e.g., setting up automated reporting, documentation generation, static code analysis tools, and commissioning automation tools and platforms), ensuring engineers can focus on their expertise
  • Help with hardware and testbeds build and maintenance, ensuring teams can build code, run tests, and release with the right infrastructure
  • Advocate for and share successful DevOps practices across multiple projects and teams, driving collaboration and efficiency throughout the department
