Requirements

Expertise to design, analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
Innovative methods of declaratively automating cloud-based IaaS/PaaS deployments and applications using modern GitOps and DevOps techniques and technologies
Love for operational metrics including MTTD & MTTR and the capabilities and practices that allow these to be continually improved upon
Strong passion for automation and repeatable processes
Deep exposure to public cloud (GCP, AWS or Azure), Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with a mainstream programming language such as Java, Go, Python or Rust
Broad experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, Jenkins, Argo etc)
Fervent enthusiasm for infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
Data Streaming Tools such as Debezium, Kafka, Flink or Pinot
Excellent understanding of OS

Responsibilities

Leading the design of DevOps strategy
Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and evolve cloud infrastructure optimized for performance, scalability and security to support 10x growth
Owning Data and AI infrastructure across multiple countries
Building expertise in operational platform management, developing observability and detection capabilities to decrease time to discover problems and increase stability without sacrificing agility or security
Building consensus amongst DevOps Engineers across geographies in different feature teams about tools and practices, and evolving that consensus into agreed standards
Producing exceptional, risk-free, fully tested solutions in all platforms built
Building platforms which resolve fast-paced, ever-changing success measures
Working in a collaborative, innovative and customer-first driven environment
Asking why to better understand customer needs
Digging deep and brainstorming with colleagues to come up with the best solutions for problems
