Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, or test development, preferably with exposure to Ruby/Ruby on Rails and Typescript/Javascript. Proficiency in tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Selenium, TestCafe, Postman, AWS/GCP/Azure, and Datadog is required. Skills in scripting languages, the ability to develop automated test frameworks from scratch, expertise in test planning and cross-team collaboration, and experience with large-scale distributed systems are essential. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or CircleCI, knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement are also necessary.
The Senior Test Automation Developer will collaborate with QA teams to design and develop test plans and cases based on functional specifications. They will lead the creation and implementation of test automation strategies across API, UI, end-to-end, reliability, and scalability layers. Responsibilities include integrating quality objectives and automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, overseeing the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts, and analyzing results to identify root causes and ensure prompt issue resolution. The role involves maintaining high test coverage, execution speed, and reliability, staying updated on industry trends in test automation including AI for test case generation, and managing test data. Additionally, they will translate manual test cases into automated scripts, promote best practices in test automation, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product quality, and support technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.
