Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Material Design, or relevant field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • At least 1-3 years of industry experience
  • Passion for storytelling with the ability to translate narratives onto physical product
  • Research skills: trends and athlete insights
  • Ability to collaborate with other designers/Design Directors to create palettes
  • Passion for innovation and experimentation
  • Strong understanding of color theory and how to achieve desired color effects (materials, dyes, finishes, and color achievability)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; able to present ideas clearly and with impact
  • Strong team player who proactively builds relationships across design, development, and product marketing
  • Open to feedback and multiple points of view; supports team culture by uplifting others and contributing to a collaborative environment

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Keynote on a Mac platform

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple seasons, timelines, and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of material types, surface applications, and how finishes, graphics, and textures influence color effects

Responsibilities

  • Drive seasonal storytelling and product execution for the Global marketplace using color design
  • Balance creativity with discipline to deliver premium, culturally connected, and trend-relevant point of view
  • Stay connected to the consumer while driving creative and commercial impact across multiple product lines
  • Collaborate with Golf Footwear Design Team (Product, Graphic, and Material Designers), Product Management, Development partners, and Apparel & Accessories counterparts to build cohesive head-to-toe expressions
  • Support seasonal product creation through strong creative instincts, trend awareness, and curiosity for color innovation
  • Translate Global consumer insights and seasonal strategies into compelling product stories by building palettes, CADs, and narratives that align with category direction and Nike’s brand standards
  • Review samples for color accuracy & execution; identify and troubleshoot achievability issues
