Requirements

  • Background in drafting, CAD, construction, or framing highly preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and analytical skills, comfortable working with blueprints and calculating loads
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive, collaborative team

Responsibilities

  • Design roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and engineered wood products (EWP) for residential and commercial projects
  • Use MiTek software to prepare bids, layouts, and engineered profiles
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to meet customer needs and provide design solutions
  • Participate in paid comprehensive training in Burlington, North Carolina (4-6 weeks, January 2026)
  • Build relationships with retail clients, builders, framers, and developers to answer design questions and deliver top-tier service
