Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent knowledge through professional expertise
Deep technical knowledge in materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional SMEs and leverage APQP for design validation and issue resolution
Accountability for personal technical performance
Knowledge of supporting complex, full-lifecycle product development across multiple platforms
Experience driving cross-functional collaboration with global teams for design validation and product launches
Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and Design Verification Plans (DVP&R)
Knowledge of collaborating with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability, focusing on Team Feasibility Commitments
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and quality assurance

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain rubber component solutions and associate test methods to meet product requirements
Create and maintain test fixtures, manage local test benches, and interpret test results, including spare parts upkeep
Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers regarding rubber component performance and maintenance needs
Inspect field-returned rubber components and assist in root cause analysis for failures
Validate component performance through physical testing, simulation support, and on-machine measurement definition
Support NPI, CPI, BIQ, and Assurance of Supply projects by executing performance tests and reporting results
Collaborate with process partners and manufacturing facilities to improve material quality and component reliability
Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and deliverables in alignment with ICD goals
