Yes, this is a fully remote working role.
The role requires working USA hours, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm EST (15:00 to 24:00 South African time), subject to change based on daylight savings or operational needs. You will also need to work on all South African public holidays, compensated as per BCEA.
Previous experience in healthcare, dental, or customer care roles is strongly preferred, along with solid understanding of medical and dental terminology, excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and high tech-savviness.
A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) supporting a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory, and a reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without these cannot be considered.
Candidates with a medical or dental background, excellent telephone manner, strong administrative skills, empathy, professionalism, and the ability to manage complex cases independently stand out. Adaptability to new systems, tech-savviness, and problem-solving initiative are also key.
