High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Minimum 6 months of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
Minimum 6 months of warehouse equipment experience such as forklifts, order pickers, or pallet jacks
Familiarity with inventory management software (WMS, ERP systems), spreadsheets, and general computer literacy
Good organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds for extended periods in a warehouse environment
Responsibilities
Conduct regular, scheduled cycle counts of stock to verify quantity accuracy
Investigate discrepancies and ensure physical inventory levels match records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Use computers, handheld scanners, and other tools to track inventory movement, update stock data, and document counting activities and findings
Make accurate adjustments/inventory transactions to and from locations
Identify and report items, item packaging, and pick-face locations that may cause discrepancies
Report information with clarity and accuracy using MS Word, Excel
Develop solutions for inventory issues (e.g., overstocking, misplacement, stock shortages) and implement corrective actions
Help develop methods and procedures for effective inventory movement in the warehouse
Work closely with warehouse operations, receiving/shipping, quality, and customer service teams to maintain inventory integrity and resolve issues promptly
