Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (3+ years)
  • Knowledge of other SQL dialects (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus
  • Automation skills: Python (Pandas, SQL Alchemy, etc.), Excel/VBA, R (R Studio)
  • Understanding of ETL principles and working with large volumes of data
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (Power Query, Power Pivot preferred)
  • Ability to analyze data and find ways to improve process efficiency
  • Good communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency in Russian
  • English proficiency sufficient for working with documentation and communicating with international teams
  • Ability to commute daily to the office during training: Almaty, Baizakova Street, 280, Almaty Towers Business Center (hybrid format possible after training)

Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance, and optimization of databases on Microsoft SQL Server
  • Creation, debugging, and optimization of complex SQL queries, procedures, functions, and views
  • Automation of data processing processes (SQL, Python, Excel/VBA macros, R)
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity, implementing control mechanisms
  • Support of existing ETL processes, participation in developing new data integration solutions
  • Diagnosis and elimination of recurring errors in data structures and workflows
  • Documentation of solutions, support for colleagues, and training of new employees on data work
  • Interaction with other departments to optimize data exchange and usage
