Requirements

Candidates must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with an active polygraph, be a US citizen, and have a minimum of six (06) years of experience in Database Engineering / Administration, with varying minimum experience levels based on the specific level (01, 02, 03, or 04) ranging from six to fifteen years. Applicants must have at least two (02) years of directly related experience within the last five (05) years, with experience in Oracle Database Administration, Oracle data replication technologies, database security, performance tuning and monitoring, and RDBMS software installation and upgrades. Familiarity with procedural languages such as PL/SQL is also required.

Responsibilities

The Database Engineers / Administrators will perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system databases and Oracle Streams replication issues, modify existing database scripts, develop and execute SQL queries, conduct system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching, recommend design and implementation practices to optimize database performance, and troubleshoot and resolve database problems/issues. They will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining database security, and performing database performance tuning and monitoring.
