Master/Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Physics, Math, Statistics, or a related discipline
5+ years' experience in data science, statistics, machine learning, mathematical optimization or predictive modeling
Proven coding experience
Understanding of programming concepts and deploying data science solutions
Experience with big data modeling work (e.g. Spark)
Communicate concisely and persuasively with engineers and product managers
Responsibilities
Responsible for the optimization of technologies that are the foundation components of our data platform
Work closely with engineering and product team in the design and implementation of data-driven algorithms that enhance the performance of our system
Work with large-scale data and support scientific experiments to improve and validate the algorithm performance
Own end-to-end workflows—from conducting exploratory research and building and validating machine learning models to deploying production-ready solutions and monitoring performance in real-world environments
Developing and using machine-learning techniques, visualizations, and statistical analysis to gain insight into various data sets – some of which are readily available, and some of which we create and curate ourselves
Help guide teams in researching, designing, simulating, and/or prototyping new algorithmic product features according to business needs
