Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, with 5+ years preferred, and demonstrate experience in information extraction from documents. Proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries is required, along with experience working with machine learning and generative AI models and APIs. Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is also necessary, as is experience with lifecycle assessment, greenhouse gas emissions data, and/or supply chain platforms, which is a plus. The ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist will lead the development and implementation of data extraction solutions from various document types, designing, developing, and maintaining algorithms and models for information extraction. They will ensure the integrity and accuracy of extracted data, prepare technical design documents and specifications, conduct technical reviews of data extraction solutions, and support the data extraction process from concept to delivery. Furthermore, the Data Scientist will collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the development team, and contribute to building a key database of environmental product declarations and product category rules within the Product Impact group.
