Candidates should possess a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field, with dual degrees being a plus. They must demonstrate the ability to break down ambiguously defined tasks into actionable steps and have a comprehensive understanding of statistics, optimization, and machine learning. Proficiency in coding, data structures, and algorithms is also required.
The Data Scientist will innovate ML algorithms to maximize ROI and advertising performance, including creating new algorithms, improving existing methods, and developing algorithms using a deep understanding of classic methods. They will write production code, potentially collaborating with Data Engineers, to implement these novel algorithms, prototype potential algorithms and pipelines, test them using historical data, and iterate based on insights.
