Responsibilities
- Be a key leader in building a discipline of exceptional Data Scientists and Analysts for Payments products and experience
- Help hire, develop, and retain talented Data people
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders across Monzo to deliver products for customers
- Bring data leadership and rigour to product development and build strategic business understanding while structuring complex projects
- Define the long-term strategy of the team and create comprehensive roadmaps for projects
- Generate insights that can change the direction of Payments strategy
- Work and advise on Payments’s global expansion strategy
- Liaise with Product and Engineering managers to ensure collection of the right data for relevant business insights
- Manage a team of Data Scientists and Data Analysts, working with Analytics Engineers to drive product innovation
- Champion the use of data and bring ideas to life through rigorous analytical approaches to enable revenue and customer growth
