Requirements

  • Ability to partner closely with Legal and stakeholders across the organization
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and managing privacy procedures
  • Skills in conducting risk assessments and privacy impact assessments (PIAs)
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, New Zealand Privacy Act, Australia Privacy Act)
  • Capability to collaborate with IT, Procurement, and Technology teams on third-party risks
  • Experience integrating privacy by design into projects and technologies
  • Proficiency in monitoring compliance, preparing reports, and contributing to data governance
  • Ability to assess control effectiveness and suggest improvements in IT/OT environments
  • Strong relationship-building with business stakeholders, product teams, and colleagues
  • CIPP/CIPM certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage the organization’s privacy program with guidance from Legal and the Privacy Officer
  • Monitor and assess privacy risks, identify control weaknesses, and recommend improvements
  • Oversee privacy operations: cookie and tracking technology compliance, data mapping and record of processing activity maintenance, managing DSARs, providing privacy training and awareness
  • Drive privacy governance documentation, including data protection frameworks, records of processing activities, and PIAs
  • Conduct privacy risk assessments and audits aligned with best practices and regulations
  • Collaborate with IT, Procurement, and Technology teams to manage third-party data protection risks
  • Integrate privacy by design into new projects and technologies
  • Interpret and implement privacy regulation requirements
  • Monitor compliance with privacy policies and regulations; prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
  • Contribute to data governance policies for data handling, classification, and lifecycle management
  • Monitor and assess control effectiveness, identify weaknesses, and suggest improvements for security and compliance
  • Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders to promote collaboration
  • Identify thematic technology risks and trends across product lines and the Enterprise
  • Ensure timely identification and reporting of technology control gaps due to failed procedures, weak controls, and new threats
