Requirements

OLAP Database Experience, focused on ClickHouse internals (strong experience with other OLAP Databases is great)
Experience automating dynamic provisioning of instances, with strong experience using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes
Experience with scale and complexity in building and operating high-scale complex data storage solutions
Proficiency with the stack: Python, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS, and Zookeeper (or alternative)

Responsibilities

Automate, manage, and maintain ClickHouse infrastructure as it scales to trillions of events per year and one of the world’s largest clusters
Handle ClickHouse operations, scaling infrastructure, and node/instance-level performance optimization
Ensure optimal hardware deployment for each workload on ClickHouse
Build systems and automations for provisioning and scaling large ClickHouse clusters handling over 100 PB of data
Investigate and experiment with latest cloud provider hardware to find optimal setups (with provided budget)
Use Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes for dynamic provisioning of instances
Work on bleeding-edge ClickHouse implementations, such as open format backed tables
Contribute to building a query optimizer for ClickHouse and work on query performance tooling
