Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional engineering and data analytics experience, with startup experience being a plus. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for complex data analysis is required. Recent experience in building automation tooling and pipelines using a general-purpose language such as Python, Golang, or Typescript is essential. Familiarity with modern data pipeline and warehouse technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS Glue is necessary, along with experience in writing declarative data models and transformations using modern technologies such as dbt.

Responsibilities

The Data Infrastructure Engineer will architect, build, and maintain modern real-time and batch data analytics pipelines. They will develop and maintain declarative data models and transformations, implement data ingestion integrations for various sources including Postgres, Kafka, and DynamoDB, and deploy BI tooling for data analysis. Collaboration with product, finance, legal, and compliance teams to create dashboards and reports is expected, alongside establishing and enforcing data governance policies. Additionally, they will document best practices regarding schema management, data integrity, availability, and security, while protecting sensitive data through secure permissioning models and data masking processes.
