Requirements

Candidates should possess strong experience working with APIs and building pipelines into cloud platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, expertise in SQL and dbt, fluency in at least one programming language like Python, R, or Scala, and experience implementing data governance frameworks that scale. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role and startup experience are also required.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain core data models and visualizations in Sigma to support Engineering & Tech Operations initiatives, ensuring high data accuracy and usability. They will architect and manage production data pipelines in Snowflake and Databricks, utilizing tools like Fivetran, dbt, and Sigma, and build foundational data assets for Tech Operations, including Support insights and internal telemetry. Additionally, the role involves creating observability datasets from Sigma’s cloud infrastructure platforms, partnering with the infrastructure engineering team for high availability, building internal data products and enabling self-service usage, identifying and executing high-impact data projects, and collaborating across Engineering, Product, and GTM teams.
