Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data warehouse solutions to enhance and expand internal data and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with Litera Data Architects to design and implement backend data structures and query components in relational and non-relational data management systems.
  • Take ownership of application data schema design and implementation, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Recommend appropriate data environments, structures, tools, development techniques, data security, and methodologies to meet project requirements.
  • Participate effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with globally located teams working in different time zones.
  • Write and document clean, maintainable, and extensible code with a minimum number of defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, Dev, QA, DevOps) to complete tasks and ensure seamless integration of data solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, database design, and implementing and maintaining full-scale data warehouse solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Snowflake, SQL Server, dbt, Azure Data Factory and Rivery or similar modern ETL tools. Deep expertise in Snowflake (performance tuning, security, etc.) is desired.
  • Expert understanding of data structures and data architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and automation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data integration utilizing APIs, including designing, developing, and maintaining connections.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and optimizing API performance to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience with Snowflake Cortex, or other AI assisted data/software tools is a plus.
