Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of eight years of related work experience and an undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Expert level proficiency with Tableau, along with Tableau certification, is required, as are excellent data storytelling, presentation skills, and stakeholder management. Experience with SQL and Python coding is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst, Specialist will analyze data, assess trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic business initiatives. This role involves engaging with internal partners to understand business needs, defining requirements, and translating them into analytical project approaches. The specialist will lead complex projects, provide guidance to peers, and serve as an analytics expert on cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include contributing to the Data Strategy Vision, Mission, and Roadmap, understanding data warehousing, and participating in BI and Data architecture discussions. The role also entails defining project schedules and scopes, driving Agile projects, acquiring and verifying data quality, transforming raw data into business insights, performing historical data analysis, and validating analytical techniques. Additionally, the analyst will prepare and deliver expert-level visualizations and presentations, develop and manage recurring analytic processes, and mentor and coach the analytics community at Vanguard.
