Practical experience in developing laboratory setups, programming in Python, design (preferably with Solidworks), experiment planning and execution, and data analysis is required. They should also demonstrate enjoyment in problem-solving, solution implementation, and verification through systematic experiments and measurements, as well as being organized, structured, and able to prioritize work with careful, reliable, and responsible behavior.
The student will support the development of automated manufacturing and testing processes in the field of intraocular lens manufacturing, analyzing manual processes and designing automated laboratory setups and implementing these concepts. They will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, conceiving individual assemblies, selecting components, developing and maintaining control software, and conducting and evaluating experiments.
