Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain network security platforms (e.g., firewall, WAF, VPNs) in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards
  • Configure and manage security solutions
  • Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks for secure, scalable platforms
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using security best practices for automation use cases
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish, maintain, and improve monitoring, alerting, and reporting
  • Document security platform configurations and playbooks per industry best practices
  • Implement integrations between Cyber Security platforms and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., logging, identity management, ticketing)
  • Develop API-based workflows and data exchange mechanisms for automated security processes and unified visibility
  • Build data pipelines aggregating security telemetry for correlation, reporting, and advanced analytics
  • Create bidirectional integrations for automated response actions and security orchestration
  • Leverage AI/ML (e.g., CoPilot, Claude) to optimize/automate Platform Engineering activities
  • Design and implement IaC solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or similar for reproducible deployments
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for platform operations, data processing, and maintenance
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, validation, and deployment of configurations and security content
  • Create self-service capabilities and automated workflows to reduce manual effort
