Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT roles is required, with at least 4 years specifically in a Cyber Incident Response Team as an investigator, analyst, or leader. Additionally, 11+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center, Incident Response Team, law enforcement, or military is acceptable.
The Cyber Incident Response Lead will investigate, contain, escalate, and coordinate mitigation of security events according to Experian's Incident Response Plan. This role involves managing multiple security incident cases throughout their lifecycle, including analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned. Responsibilities include maintaining case documentation, interpreting device and application logs, supporting the Cyber Fusion Center's direction and security strategy, and mentoring junior analysts. The lead will also respond to cybersecurity events and alerts within defined SLOs and participate in an on-call schedule or work outside normal hours as needed.
