Requirements

  • Ability to perform in-depth analysis, assessment, and response to security threats following documented policies and SLOs
  • Experience with security tooling and logging (e.g., SIEM, EDR) for event analysis and risk assessment
  • Availability for 8x5 Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for after-hours pages and potential on-call rotation (evenings, weekends, holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to daily security operations by overseeing response activities for security events, alerts, cyber threats, intrusions, and compromises alongside global security analysts
  • Analyze events using security tooling and logging, assess potential risk/severity, and escalate higher-risk events to incident response teams
  • Collaborate with external teams for incident resolution and escalations, driving incident handling
  • Notify team Lead(s) of operational concerns (e.g., anomalous metrics, open incidents, quality issues, risks) and support resolution
  • Manage and complete assigned caseload through the incident response lifecycle: analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned
  • Maintain comprehensive case documentation, including notes, analysis findings, containment steps, cause, and ensure prompt incident updates/contact with end-users
  • Help improve strategies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials
  • Support management's CFC strategy by participating in improvement programs
  • Assist team Leads and management with use case development by suggesting enhancements or tuning to improve security posture
  • Receive and prioritize cybersecurity alerts, act as dedicated contact for user-reported potential security incidents, investigate/contain/eradicate/recover or escalate as needed
