Minimum 3 years of experience in API Management
3+ years Software Development (and Design) work experience using modern API Gateway (APIGEE, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi etc)
2+ years of experience in APIGEE
Proficiency in Apigee (Must To Have Skills)
15 years full time education
Good To Have Skills: Experience with Google Cloud Platform Architecture, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Kubernetes
Strong understanding of cloud native architectures and principles
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns
Familiarity with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools
Ability to design and implement declarative APIs
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

Responsibilities

Expected to perform independently and become an SME
Implement best practices for containerization, microservices, and declarative APIs
Design, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using APIGEE
Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc
Design and develop API platform to connect to various disparate backend systems for seamless data exchange
Build and support the APIs through the entire lifecycle
Perform regular health checks and monitor performance of the Apigee environment
Write Open API spec and smart docs for on boarding APIs to developer portal
Create custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node js, Python etc in Apigee or any other APIM
Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios
Create REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools
Standardize the CI/CD setup for Apigee for automated deployment
Analyze, design, code and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients
Perform maintenance, enhancements and/or development work
