Responsibilities

Design and implement a Snowflake data platform blueprint on AWS for a Books and Records solution of a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)
Collaborate with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive integration between data ingestion pipelines and data models to process batch and streaming data feeds from on premises and AWS
Design data transformation pipelines to convert Snowflake raw data layer into curated data layer for consumption
Act as Subject Matter Expert with deep knowledge and experience, possessing influencing and advisory skills
Make team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions
Provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams
Design and implement innovative data solutions that enhance the overall data platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data integration challenges
Design and build an audit trail solution to capture data modifications and deletions in Snowflake to meet SEC immutability and record retention regulatory requirements for electronic recordkeeping system
Design, develop and optimize Snowflake schema to enhance performance of reporting and queries
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture and design processes
Conduct regular assessments of data platform performance and recommend improvements
Mentor junior team members and share best practices in data platform engineering
