Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year Customer Service experience or equivalent in related training and/or experience (Airline industry preferred)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive/understand instructions, ensure safety, and interact with customers
  • Basic computer skills; Knowledge of general office equipment (preferred)
  • People oriented, highly motivated with a positive and friendly attitude (preferred)
  • Available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and stay late for irregular operations (preferred)
  • Well groomed and adhere to dress code policy (preferred)
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints (preferred)
  • Available to attend required training (preferred)
  • Remain in trainee status until successful completion of all practical and written curriculum
  • Meet physical demands: stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, use hands/fingers for tools/equipment; lift/push/pull/carry up to 20 lbs (office) or handle baggage of various weights; operate heavy motorized machinery; work in 24-hour shifts, confined areas, moderate noise, temperature/light fluctuations; regular attendance

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all customers, including scheduled or charter services
  • Perform ground operations, aircraft cleaning, security, operations, and commissary duties as required
  • Process tickets, check baggage, monitor carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assign seats
  • Provide information on arrival/departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
  • Marshal in planes and push back aircraft
  • Handle denied boarding situations, solicit volunteers, re-accommodate customers, and provide hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
  • Assist customers with special needs (e.g., boarding assistance)
  • Load and unload baggage and co-mail of various weights/dimensions to/from aircraft and airport baggage areas
  • Operate heavy motorized machinery/equipment (e.g., tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, push-back tractors, deicers)
  • Enforce safety/security measures and monitor safety-sensitive zones
  • Ensure FAA, Allegiant Air, and airport regulations are followed
  • Other duties as assigned
