Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with autonomous systems field operations. Experience with mission planning software such as QGroundControl or Mission Planner is required, along with familiarity with Ardupilot or PX4. Applicants should have experience in in-field operational troubleshooting and international field operations, as well as the ability to travel internationally and domestically. Preferred qualifications include holding a Part 107 UAS License, proficiency in multiple spoken languages, and holding a Private Pilot’s License with IFR rating or CPL+ and A&P certifications.
The Crew Chief will assist in fabrication, post-manufacturing flight acceptance, and preflight processes. They will maintain, troubleshoot, and fix aircraft subsystems and integration issues. The role includes creating and maintaining documentation related to flight acceptance, maintenance, and flight operations. The Crew Chief will execute flight operations alongside other field operations team members in both international and domestic settings, and will record and report key engineering and business development findings.
