Requirements

A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field
Relevant number of years of experience in a cost control role, preferably within a plant or industrial organization
Experience with SAP and knowledge of cost control methodologies is a strong advantage
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Self-starter, solution-oriented, and able to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills and the courage to challenge management
Fluent in Dutch and English

Responsibilities

Ensure reliable and timely accounting of maintenance and turnaround costs
Prepare, maintain, and monitor budgets for maintenance, turnarounds, and capital projects
Develop and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in SAP and STO, including tracking via work orders and purchase orders
Collect, analyze, and report financial data for monthly and ad-hoc reports
Integrate scope changes and risks into cost estimates and forecasts
Invoice processing and reconciliation of purchase orders and contractor costs
Prepare cost-performance KPIs and daily cost overviews during turnaround execution
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within turnarounds and maintenance
Establish best practices and continuous improvement projects
Actively collaborate with maintenance and turnaround teams, contractors, and suppliers
Support managers in the implementation and control of service level agreements
Conduct lessons learned after turnaround and project completion
Work closely with maintenance and turnaround teams, contractors, and suppliers
Advise and challenge management regarding cost overruns and budget risks
Work in a dynamic environment with many ad-hoc requests and tight deadlines
