  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree (preference in Accounting or Finance)
  • Multifamily property accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of financial concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and post journal entries, including monthly accruals
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and research & resolve issues as needed
  • Reconcile bank accounts, monitor outstanding checks, and assist in cash analysis
  • Maintain fixed asset register and record monthly depreciation expense
  • Maintain lease register and record monthly entries
  • Perform monthly variance analyses for one or more regional offices
  • Assist in the development of new processes and procedures to improve month-end close, financial reporting, and coordination between property accounting and corporate accounting
  • Assist in departmental initiatives to improve efficiency and utilization of available tools
  • Maintain master billing schedule for properties and coordinate invoicing of monthly fees and other reimbursables
  • Prepare audit-related requests and other duties as assigned
