Requirements

Expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) in compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulations
Proficiency in managing month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Experience managing Concur application
Knowledge of developing and maintaining internal controls, conducting assessments, and recommending improvements
Ability to stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement policy/procedure updates
Skills in coordinating external audits, preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and implementing recommendations
Leadership experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a team of accountants
Capability to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology for efficiency
Proficiency in providing financial analysis, insights, variance analysis, and support for strategic decision-making, business evaluations, and risk management
Strong collaboration skills with Controller, other departments, senior management, lenders, and investors
Core competency in collaborating and building partnerships

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Controller to prepare consolidated financial statements accurately and timely for review, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis; maintain accurate and timely financial records
Manage the Concur application in collaboration with the Controller
Collaborate with the Controller on quarterly financial statements for lenders and investors
Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial reporting integrity; conduct regular assessments and recommend improvements
Ensure compliance with US GAAP; stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary accounting policy/procedure updates
Coordinate and support external audits; prepare audit schedules, respond to inquiries, and implement recommendations
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of corporate accountants; foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy, leveraging technology
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, business opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and financial risk management
Collaborate with other departments and senior management to support business operations and strategic initiatives; provide financial guidance to stakeholders
