Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science program
  • 8+ years of engineering experience
  • Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for software development
  • Extensive knowledge of software tools such as Git, CANalyzer, CANape, Software Debugger
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and controls
  • Knowledge of CAN/J1939 communication protocols
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools for effective analysis, root cause determination, and alternative solutions
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems
  • Embedded Systems: Knowledge of embedded systems and ability to develop them to control machine operations
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques to elicit, analyze, and record business requirements
  • Ability to work full-time onsite at the Mossville, IL office

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and enhancement of electro-mechanical systems to optimize products and systems
  • Lead multiple programs, including identifying deliverables, specifying and tracking budget, developing software, and performing verification testing
  • Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing software and procedures to control and enhance electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices performance in collaboration with scientists
  • Provide technical leadership in designing and prototyping mechatronic devices with motors, solenoids, gears, sensors, and springs
  • Provide technical direction in identifying and addressing areas of product weakness in finished products
  • Lead the development of hydrostatic transmission controls
